The color of the napkins should match the color scheme of the rest of the table decoration. White napkins are a timeless classic and almost always fit. Cream napkins are also elegant, but a little warmer than their white counterparts. If the wedding takes place in the summer or spring, pastel shades are especially suitable to reflect the sunny season. For ostentatious weddings are suitable classic colors such as gold As a shape to fold, for example, butterflies, hearts or lilies. Ultimately, the napkin color must match the overall look of the table decoration - and, of course, please the bride and groom!
You also have a wide choice of materials for the napkins. There are reusable cotton napkins, but also disposable paper napkins. For special occasions such as a wedding, high-quality cloth-like napkins for folding are excellent, because they exude a particularly high quality and stability. Again, you have many colors and different textures to choose from. If you decide to use paper napkins, you do not have to wash them after use, saving you a step in the process. However, the disadvantage is that unlike cloth napkins, they might tear faster, which can be a problem especially when folding. Therefore, you should rather rely on paper napkins made of a thicker material (e.g. Dunilin® , Bio-Dunisoft®).
Preparation: You should not forget
Once you have decided on a napkin type and color, you can start folding. If you want to work with cloth napkins, then wash and iron them before folding. Ironing will make it easier to shape the fabric later. You don't need any other materials for the folding itself - but you can decorate the napkins with ribbons, flowers or other decorative elements. However, for the four instructions we present below, you only need napkins and no other materials.
