Ein Wahrzeichen der industriellen Vergangenheit Bremens: Das imposante Kellogg’s-Silo, in dem jahrzehntelang Cerealien gelagert wurden, prägte das Stadtbild mit seiner markanten Silhouette und dem Kellogg’s Schriftzug auf dem Dach. Heute erzählt das circa 40 Meter hohe Gebäude eine völlig neue Geschichte. Auf dem ehemaligen Kellogg’s-Gelände, das sich zur Überseeinsel wandelt, wurde das historische Silo mit viel Fingerspitzengefühl in ein außergewöhnliches Hotel umgestaltet.
Nach umfangreichen Umbauarbeiten öffnete das John & Will Silo-Hotel im August 2024 seine Türen. In den imposanten Silos entstanden rund 120 stilvoll eingerichtete Zimmer, viele davon mit einem beeindruckenden Blick auf die Weser. Die Verwandlung des Industriebaus in ein modernes Hotel erforderte viel Präzision: Über 4.000 Meter Betonschnitte und die Entfernung von 3.500 Kubikmetern Beton machten Platz für eine Wohlfühloase, die historischen Charme mit zeitgemäßem Komfort verbindet.
Hinter dem innovativen Konzept steht die dänische Guldsmeden Gruppe, bekannt für ihre nachhaltigen Boutiquehotels in Städten wie Berlin und Oslo. Auch in Bremen bleibt sie ihrem Markenzeichen treu: Das John & Will Hotel kombiniert historische Strukturen mit umweltfreundlichen Ansätzen und setzt damit ein Zeichen für eine zukunftsorientierte Hotelkultur.
